

Helena Garrabou Vancells
Founder of Movement, education and dance specialist trained in Barcelona and New York, U.S. resident, where she studied and worked as a teacher of languages, dance, creative movement and art. Her professional experience includes the creation of educational programs that focus on learning through creative movement and dance for children and their families in both museums and schools. Her formative studies in teaching through movement and its pedagogical applications include courses at the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya and the Rosa Sensat Summer School.

Andrea Acosta
Primary school teacher (Colegio Superior Nuestra Madre de la Merced, Córdoba, Argentina), dance instructor and performer (Escuela Provincial de Danza y Expresión Corporal Nigelia Soria, Rosario, Agentina). She has studied various dance techniques: contact improvisation with Esteban Cárdenas, David Farias, Lipi Hernández; authentic movement with Fabiana Capriotti; improvisation with Graciela Casanova and Mónica Extremiana, among others. She is co-founder of the Dansa-Teatre Viento Sur Company and received the prize for new choreographies for “Ay de mi” (2003) and second prize for “Creí que no me veías” (2002) at the Certamen Coreográfico de Madrid. She has been collaborating in the creative and modern dance programs at DansaSí and Movement since 2007.



Brian O'Mahony
En Brian O'Mahony és irlandès, concretament de la ciutat de
Dublin, fa set anys que viu a Barcelona. Té un doctorat en farmacologia
clínica però des de fa tres anys es dedica professionalment a la música.
En Brian forma part del projecte Ludotori Folk que es dedica a
l'ensenyament de l'anglès mitjançant concerts adreçats als estudiants
d’Educació primària, d’ESO i de Batxillerat. Apart d'això, en Brian forma
pat d'un dels grups musicals irlandesos més populars a Catalunya,
Los Stompers.
Actualment col.labora i crea programes d'anglès.


Jorge Talquenca
Dance instructor Jorge Talquenca began his dance studies in 1998 in Argentina with tango instructors Gastón Rodríguez, Silvina Sastre, and dancers from the Mora Godoy Ballet, among others. He has also trained in both classical and modern dance with Silvana Moreno, Alejandro Cervera, Mabel Silvera and the dance companies of Julio Bocca and Maximiliano Guerra. He studied modern jazz under Ricky Pashckus, Adolfo Colque and others. He currently teaches argentine tango and modern dance in several schools in Barcelona. He is a member of the Pepe Hevia dance company. HE has been collaborating with Movement since 2008.



Jordi Canals
Music pedagogue and choir director. He is a certified Piano teacher form the Barcelona's Concervatory.
He has collaborated with Movement from 2008 creating oand teaching the Music Family Workshops.
